If something isn't working the way it should, we want to know about it.
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later
- An active Apple Music subscription
- An internet connection for metadata enrichment and streaming
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
Yes. tuvalindë is built on Apple's MusicKit framework and requires an active Apple Music subscription to stream and discover music. It does not work with Spotify, YouTube Music, or other services.
Why does the app ask for Apple Music access?
tuvalindë needs permission to interact with Apple Music so it can play songs, read your library, and build recommendations. You can grant or revoke this access at any time in Settings > Privacy > Media & Apple Music.
How long before recommendations get good?
The taste profile begins forming immediately, but the intelligence layer gets meaningfully better after about a week of regular use. Temporal patterns — knowing what you want to hear at different times — take longer to solidify. Give it time. It's learning you.
What happens when I skip a song?
Skips are meaningful. Music you consistently skip is quietly removed from your recommendations and doesn't come back. The app learns from what you don't want just as much as from what you love.
How does discovery work?
When you're in a groove — completing songs, not skipping — the app introduces something unfamiliar. Not random, not sponsored. Something that genuinely fits what you've been listening to. If you skip it, the app recalibrates. If you love it, it learns.
Does tuvalindë have lyrics?
Yes. tuvalindë includes synced lyrics with real-time karaoke-style scrolling. Lyrics availability depends on what Apple Music has licensed for a given track.
Can I reset my taste profile?
Yes. You can reset your Listening Ledger and all taste data from within the app's settings. This erases everything and starts fresh. There is no undo — once reset, your profile history is permanently gone.
Songs won't play or skip immediately
This is usually an Apple Music authorization or connectivity issue. Check that your Apple Music subscription is active, that you've granted tuvalindë media access in Settings, and that you have a stable internet connection. Restarting the app can also resolve transient playback issues.
Recommendations feel off
In the first few days, the algorithm is still calibrating. Keep listening normally — complete songs you enjoy, skip songs you don't. The system learns from both signals. If recommendations still feel wrong after a week of regular use, reach out to us.
The app crashed
If tuvalindë crashes, your listening data is safe — it's persisted to local storage. Reopen the app and it will resume normally. If crashes happen repeatedly, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store and that your iOS is up to date. If the problem persists, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
